billion in Arizona, Ohio, New Mexico, and Oregon.

ecipient, investing $40 billion in two plants near Phoenix.
Samsung Electronics, with a $17.3
billion project in Texas, is also a contender.
Micron Technology, T
exas Instruments, and GlobalFoundries among other top contenders.
U.S. Department of Commerce emphasizes
a merit-based process with tough commercial negotiations.
TSMC declined to comment,
while Intel did not respond to requests.
